Plastic Surgery Gone Too Far: South Korean Woman Accused of ‘Ruining Her Face’
These “before” and “after” shots above of an unnamed South Korean woman has left online users shuddering in horror after they emerged on a Japanese forum.
The woman, who is said to be a reporter on a South Korean TV channel, appears to have undergone jaw surgery to achieve a heart-shaped face.
RocketNews24, a website that specializes in news from Japan and Asia, even went as far as to run with the headline “Beautiful South Korean reporter ruins her face with plastic surgery.”
And online commentators didn’t hold back either.
One user wrote: “Someone please tell me this was Photoshopped!”
“There’s no end to the desires of humans,” added another.
Brutally, another wrote: “It looks like you could plow a field with that chin.”
Leading LA cosmetic surgeon Andre Berger, MD, agrees that the unnamed woman has now becoming a walking advertisement for plastic surgery disasters.
Berger tells CelebZter: “It is most unfortunate and egregious that a patient with a body dysmorphic disorder receives corrective plastic surgery for no good reason that sadly ends in a cosmetic disaster! The main problem here is that she had any invasive procedure at all!
“The ideal shape for a female face is not a heart, but rather an upside down egg; which she already had! Never fix what is not broken! Instead, a bit of subliminal optimization to enhance her attractiveness by adding some volume with a filler to her to upper lateral cheeks, perhaps a bit of Botox to bring her brow slightly out and up, and perhaps some Botox to relax her bulging masseter (jaw angle) muscles (combined with a visit to her dentist to have a mouthpiece fitted to reduce the effects of her night time teeth grinding) will soften her angular jaw and narrow the appearance of her lower face. This is something I do every day for my patient’s with no down time, no recovery, and amazing cosmetic enhancement without looking “done” After all, isn’t that really what we all want.”
As a FYI: An estimated 1 in 5 South Koreans go under the knife.
