This is a warning about cut rate beauty procedures called “pumping.” It’s a dangerous way to try to get those sexy curves made so famous by celebs like Kim Kardashian and J-Lo.
The idea of injecting motor oil, cement, silicone and even canned tire sealant into your face and body to improve your looks sounds crazy! But nationwide health experts are reporting a growing number of cases where phony practitioners are illegally pumping people full of these toxic injectables.
As the demand for these underground procedures continue to rise, so do the fatalities and if you’re lucky enough to survive, the ramifications can be shocking.
Dr. Constantino Mendieta is a board certified plastic surgeon in Miami, Florida. He says what most people don’t know is that the side effects can cause life-changing disfigurement.
“These underground pumping parties will actually destroy and disfigure your body to a point where we can’t even reconstruct it later,” says Dr. Mendieta, “You could develop a reaction to these products five to ten years down the road where it eats away at your flesh and completely destroys your buttock.
