Pippa’s Butt: 2011’s Most Popular Body Part

No one can deny that we saw an inordinate amount of attention paid to Pippa Middleton this year. Her beautiful white sheath on sister Kate Middleton’s wedding day was one thing, and her athletic (yet sometimes partying) reputation was equally as appealing. But what really impressed people the most was her butt. So much so that millions around the world have been meticulously staring at it for months now. And this craze has inspired some pretty strange things.

Pippa’s toned and shapely derriere had women (and men) all over the world sitting up to take notice. Suddenly, everyone wanted to know: How did she get such a great ass? Who cares if it was padded or not, we wanted it. I’ll have what she’s having!

The “Pippa Butt Lift” became the latest trend as plastic surgeons were flooded with patients who wanted Pippa’s royal rear end.

In an interview with Fox News, plastic surgeon Dr. Constantino Mendieta said he now gets more requests for her derriere than J-Lo’s or even Kim Kardashian’s :

There has also been countless media attention surrounding the royal rear with newspapers, websites and tabloids all discussing the this highly-coveted ass. It’s been discussed on TLC’s Crazy for Pippa, and Good Morning America recently featured the Pippa Middleton-inspired butt pad. There is even a Facebook page dedicated to the “Pippa Middleton Ass Appreciation Society” which has over 240,000 likes. So much for the news focusing on what’s really important in the world, right?

What’s really interesting here is that Pippa has risen to international fame without people really even knowing much about her. Have we even heard her speak? I don’t think so. Regardless, she has been dubbed “her royal hotness” and “rear of the year” by some. We’re not quite sure to be entertained by this latest craze or just weirded out by all of this attention to someone’s ass.
