Having lived as a professional athlete and now coach to young athletes, I know all too well the role social media plays in building one’s brand. Or tearing it down. Like so much in life, it depends on your planning and strategies. The pluses are obvious. A fledgling athlete can jumpstart a core base of recognition quickly to consistently build on.
